Inside Chemtrade: An ACPBC Industry Tour

ACPBC recently welcomed both members and non-member chemists to tour Chemtrade’s North Vancouver Chlor-Alkali facility for an engaging behind-the-scenes look at one of British Columbia’s leading chemical manufacturing operations.

Guided by Ryan, Payam, and members of the Chemtrade team, participants gained valuable insight into plant operations, laboratory quality control, and the extensive safety systems that support modern chemical manufacturing. The tour provided a unique opportunity to see industrial chemistry in action while learning about the people and processes behind the facility’s day-to-day operations.

Many participants also took the opportunity to continue networking informally after the tour, sharing ideas, experiences, and professional perspectives. These conversations help strengthen connections across BC’s chemical community.
